Rob’s 5-4-3-2-1 Farewell to Mars

On May 10th Rob Hughes will be set off on his ‘Farewell  to Mars’ Cycle Challenge. He will visit 5 FACTORIES, 4 COUNTRIES, 3 HEAD OFFICES  powered by 2 LEGS  on 1 BIKE!

“The journey will take me eight days and I will cover over 700 miles (over 1000 km),” he explains. “Four years ago I cycled 1000 miles from Lands End to John O’ Groats so I know what I am letting myself in for!

“I am doing it for two reasons . The first is that after 32 years at Mars, I thought it would be a great way to say goodbye to the business which I have loved working for and say goodbye to the friends I have made in the places I have worked in.
“The second reason is I will be raising funds for Anna’s Hope. Brain Tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and young people and Anna’s Hope’s aim is to give hope to these children. We are already making a  big difference by funding a Specialist Children’s Neuro Oncology Nurse. Every penny that is raised  goes directly to the charity and if you can make a donation, that would be fantastic.
