ANNA’S HOPE EVENTS 2019
There have already been such a great variety of events that have happened this year and there are still plenty more ahead. As such, we’ve compiled a list of events that we’re part of, along with events you can get involved with and sponsor Anna’s Hope as your chosen charity.
So, what lies ahead?
JUNE
Billy Ocean Burghley House Concert – Saturday 8th June
Yet another fantastic evening awaits you in the grounds of Burghley House with legendary Billy Ocean appearing with the sublime Heather Small - The voice of the M People!!
The Anna's Hope Fairies will be out in full force at the concert to add some fun and to accept donations from the generous concert goers. For tickets please visit the Live Promotions website >
Oakham School Big Band Concert – Thursday 27th June
A plethora of talented young musicians will perform at this event, providing an evening of superb music, directed by the school’s Head of Brass and Percussion, Steve Foster. An array of classic jazz, soul, pop and more can be enjoyed on what is guaranteed to be a night of incredible entertainment.
Bring your own picnic to consume during the interval and purchase drinks at the marquee bar, which will be open all evening. We’ll be there collecting donations for Anna’s Hope, fingers crossed we’ll see you there.
Doors open at 6.45pm, live music begins at 7.45pm finishing at 10.45pm.

Football vs Cancer Celebrity Football Match – Saturday 29th June
Attend Yaxley’s football ground and watch football legends and celebrities play against each other in a charity match. This years’ event stars football legend; Razor Ruddock!

JULY
Magic of Motown Lincoln Castle – Saturday 6th July
The Magic of Motown event celebrates the sound of a generation. This amazing event has drawn in crowds of over 5000 people in previous years at places like Chepstow Castle, Leeds Millennium Square and London’s 02 Arena.
Our Anna's Hope Fairies will be out in full force at the Lincoln Concert to add some fun and gratefully receive donations from the generous concert goers. Get your tickets here >
SEPTEMBER
The Great North Run – Sunday 8th September
This event has been a celebration of what makes the North East great. From the very beginning; thousands of supporters line the course, hundreds of volunteers help along the way and runners, like you, from around the UK persevere through true grit and determination finish the race each year.
Join Anna’s Hope on a 13.1-mile journey from Newcastle's city centre to the coast in South Shields; all live on the BBC!

The Rutland Half Marathon – Sunday 22nd September
The Rutland Marathon and Half Marathon are back for 2019 in the beautiful county of Rutland.
The venue is unrivalled in terms of beauty and offers traffic free running with great spectator access around the entire course. They have a full 26.2-mile marathon route, as well as a 13.1 mile half marathon course. The routes are well marked, fully marshalled and offer well-stocked feed stations. Runners will get a medal & tee shirt to commemorate their day. Entry fee for the half marathon is £32.00.

OCTOBER
The Perkins Great Eastern Run & The Anna's Hope 5k Fun Run – Sunday 13th October
Do you want to run the half marathon in the Anna's Hope 5K Fun Run? We’re giving those who can raise at least £30 a free T-Shirt and up to 300 FREE places to children who can raise at least £30 each.

DECEMBER
Brainbow Christmas Party – TBC
Brainbow, the specialist rehabilitation service for children with brain tumours at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, will bring Christmas cheer to those it helps with its biggest family event yet.
Over 100 children and their families are expected to attend a party organised by Brainbow, a service made possible by the support of three charities – Anna’s Hope, Tom’s Trust and Joshua Tarrant Trust.
The Anna's Hope Therapy Team are looking forward to the annual Brainbow Christmas Party where children will be meeting Santa and having lots of fun away from their treatment.
Burghley Park Santa Fun Run – Sunday 8th December
Burghley Rotary will be holding its thirteenth Stamford Santa Fun Run on Sunday 8th December 2019 within Burghley Park. As in previous years, the emphasis is for local organisations and charities to enter their own teams in the 5k Fun Run to raise money by sponsorship for their own good causes.
Alternatively, make it a family morning out and come and enjoy yourselves with the option of supporting our selected Rotary good causes. Last year 113 teams took part and a total of over 1300 "Santas" registered for the event.
